I apologize for not being able to post for the past week, but I was at an awesome church event called Impact at Lipscomb University. I just got back today, and I am so excited to be able to post again! I really love the creaseless hair ties, but they are so expensive compared to the price when you can make your own.
What you need:
Fold-over elastic
Scissors
Lighter
I purchased my fold-over elastic from http://www.sunshineshoppesupply.com/, but you can get it where ever you want to purchase it.
Step 1: Take the fold-over elastic color of your choice, and I had a yard of each color so I used 9 inches to make my hair tie so I got 4 hair ties per each yard.
Step 2: Mark where you are going to cut with your finger and then cut it and fold it in half.Step 3: Use a lighter on the end to prevent fraying.
Step 4: Then knot the end.
You're all done! Now you have cute hair ties that won't make creases in your hair for a WHOLE lot less!I made a total of 84 hair ties, which is much cheaper than many other places to buy them, plus you get to pick whatever colors that you want.
Thank Y'all for reading,
Lindsey
cute! How much were your supplies?
ReplyDeleteThanks! It cost $11.55 for the fold-over elastic that I chose, but the prices vary for glitter, patterns, and just normal colors. I also had to pay shipping, which was $4.38, so that increased the total a little bit. I ended up paying $15.93 for 84 hair ties, so that makes each hair tie about $0.19 instead of paying $10 for 5 because that's crazy!
