Holiday Wall Display

Every year my Christmas decorating begins on Thannksgiving, some may call me crazy but it's a tradition with my family. We break out the Christmas music and let the decorating begin! These past few weeks have been full of days transforming our house and filling it with Christmas spirit. I'm quite happy with how everything has turned out, so I am going to share some of my fun and easy crafts starting at the beginning of my house in our entry way.

Bedding Makeover

I feel like I just finished my room, and I already want to start redoing it again. My room is definitely a work in progress at the moment, but I couldn't wait to go ahead and share what I have done so far. I decided that I wanted to paint my walls white, so that if I want to change again then it will be much easier and then I could incorporate my pops of color.
Here's an easy way to change up your bedding on a budget:

Antique Desk Makeover

I love a great story behind furniture. This antique desk was my mother's desk from her childhood that her father bought her. My grandfather had to drop out of school in the 3rd grade, so he really cared about my mother's education. He thought that she needed a desk of her very own, so he took her to an auction. The auctioneer was using the desk to auction everything off, so they had to stay until the very end of the auction to get the desk.

I can't wait for fall to start. I love all of the colors, scents, and perfect weather that come along with fall. I also love decorating for fall!

Pumpkin Bread

Even though fall hasn't officially started, I am already in the mood for all things fall. I have been strategically placing pinecones and fall-scented candles all around my house while drinking my Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks. Whenever I think of fall, I think of anything pumpkin, so today you can learn how to make some pumpkin bread:

Fall Sign

Fall is my favorite season because of all the vibrant colors like the oranges and reds. I also love all of the yummy scents like Pumpkin Spice Lattes from Starbucks or warm cinnamon candles burning in every room of my house.

Antique Book Makeovers

My books love their new home on my ladder bookcase. I found some antique Mark Twain books that I fell in love with a couple of weeks ago, but I thought that they needed a little makeover.

Chalk Painted Basket

I am so sorry that I haven't posted in so long, but I have been really busy with getting back into the groove of things with school. I think I am finally eased back in and ready to blog again. I've been working on a really big project that will be up in a future blog post very soon! For today, I decided to choose an easy project by chalk painting a basket.

DIY Chalkboard

I went on my mission trip to Mexico last week, and we had to raise money for the City of Children so we had a yard sale. I ended up finding a few things that I thought had great potential to be repurposed so I bought them. Here's how I repurposed this wood board that I found:

Crafting and Cooking Day

My friend Kara came over today, so that we could cook and craft together. We had so much fun! We made a fudge pie and chalk painted a table for her dorm room for college. She has a blog so y'all should go check it out: http://igotyouflours.blogspot.com/ We have matching aprons from Anthropologie that we used for cooking our pie today! She is going to post about how we made the fudge pie and I'm going to post how we made our own chalk paint and chalk painted her table. I hope y'all enjoy:

I leave for a camp in New York this Friday and I am super excited! I made notecards for them because we write the campers notes each night and I made them creaseless hair ties too.

Mission Trip

I am going to apologize in advance that I will not be able to post until July 13th because I am going on a mission trip, which I actually have to leave for the airport in 4 hours, so yay no sleep! I am so excited for it and I know that it will be lots of fun. I just wish that my daddy and doggies could go too! I will definitely take pictures and do post about my mission trip when I get back.
Thank Y'all for reading,
Lindsey

Mason Jar Cups

I hope that everyone had an awesome Fourth of July! It unfortunately rained all day long here, but that didn't put a stop to all of our fun! We still watched fireworks and spent time as a family. We even grilled hotdogs indoors on our George Foreman Grill. I made these Mason Jar cups to use for the Fourth of July so here's how I made them:

Goodwill Chest Find

I have developed a real love for Goodwill! I used to think that it was full of useless things, but I soon got over that once I started finding items with so much potential.

DIY Burlap and Fabric Flower Hoop

I guess third times a charm is really true! I tried two other DIY projects before this one and they were complete flops, but I kept trying and this one finally worked! It didn't take that long and it was really simple. Here's how you make your own DIY Burlap and Fabric Flower Hoop:

DIY Bows

I absolutely love bows, but most of them cost $10-$12, so I decided to make my own bows for less than $1 each. Here's how you can make your own bows in any color/pattern that you want:

My Grammy's Chocolate Pie

I have so many great and bittersweet memories of my grandmother aka Grammy like the chocolate pies she would make us (one of my favorite memories), beautiful quilts full of detail, and unconditional love. I remember every time that we would visit my Grammy, she would make my brother and me a chocolate pie. Even when she would visit us, she would make us a chocolate pie. It was one of the most magical things to my brother and me when we were kids. She would always make us wait to eat it until it cooled, which just built anticipation and hunger to enjoy the pie even more. When we finally were served our piece we would dig in and have it devoured in less than 30 seconds (which I find pretty impressive)! Now my mother and I make chocolate pies together and it is one of the best parts of my life because I can remember my Grammy and spend time with my mother. I hope y'all enjoy my Grammy's Chocolate Pie!

DIY Creasless Hair Ties

I apologize for not being able to post for the past week, but I was at an awesome church event called Impact at Lipscomb University. I just got back today, and I am so excited to be able to post again! I really love the creaseless hair ties, but they are so expensive compared to the price when you can make your own.

Who am I?

Hi everyone! If you don't know me, my name is Lindsey Webb. I am from the great state of Tennessee! I am 16 years old and love to shop, pick out outfits, and take pictures for my Instagram! I was very fashion-forward toddler with big bows in my curly blonde hair and colorful matching outfits. My parents would let me pick out my own clothes at a really young age, so you could say that I've alway had an eye for design. I have always loved to go shopping with my mom, and we still continue to shop together to this very day.

$4 Urban Outfitters Skirt and Eyelet Top

One of my friends from church always finds such cute clothes that are Goodwill, so I decided to give it a try! Go check out her blog: Henrietta and Clementine. I found a few other things that I will post later, but the item that I was most excited about was a skirt that is from Urban Outfitters! Here is my Outfit of the Day featuring my $4 skirt:

Side Dutch Braid

When I'm having a bad hair day or when I want to pull my hair back, I like to dutch braid my hair to the side because it is so fast, easy, and cute! I get lots of compliments on my hair because it looks much more complicated than it is. It is only 8 easy steps, so let's get started!

Chevron and High-Waisted Shorts

Welcome to my very first post! I love to read blogs especially by teen girls, but there aren't very many so I decided to start my own that's all about fashion and DIY. Here is my first Outfit of the Day:
