Goodwill Chest Find

I have developed a real love for Goodwill! I used to think that it was full of useless things, but I soon got over that once I started finding items with so much potential.
I found this chest at Goodwill for $7.99 and I knew that I could do so much with it because I saw potential in it. Here's how I revamped this Goodwill Chest:
Supplies:
Goodwill Chest
Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in French Linen, Old White, and Duck Egg
Annie Sloan Dark Wax and Clear Wax
Annie Sloan Wax Brush
Paint Brush
I am absolutely in love with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint! You can transform something that may be considered trash into a treasure or in my case a "treasure" chest!
Step 1: I painted the Duck Egg (Blue) all over the chest.
Step 2: I painted the Old White on the trim for detail and topped it with French Linen.
Step 3: I used fine sandpaper to give it a more distressed look because I really like for the original surface to show through.
Step 4: (optional) I dabbed the dark wax on to help it get a more vintage look, which I love!
Step 5: I used a soft cloth aka a sock to rub in the dark wax.
Step 6: I coated it with the clear wax, and used my soft cloth again to rub it in.
If you don't use the dark wax, then you still have to use the clear wax because you need to make sure that it is all sealed. It is amazing how a little chalk paint can bring something back to life.
Thank Y'all for reading,
Lindsey
