I have been in the process of redoing my room
and it seems like it is finally all
starting to come together.
I wanted to make my room a little more
"grown up" and satisfy my need to
turn my room into
a Pinterest-esque dream.
I also thought that toning down the bright
walls would make it easier to
"redo" my room again if I got the urge to
change it all again.
I decided to go with white walls,
so that they would match anything
that I wanted to put in my room.
And then I thought...
why not make one of my walls a chalkboard wall
so I can change it as my style changes.
My old room had bright
lime green and pink walls.
It was definitely a little "young" for
a junior in high school.
So I pulled out my painting supplies
and began coating my walls.
I finally finished with a beautiful
chalkboard wall that made
my blue closet door pop.
I then coated the whole entire wall in chalk
to make it easier to erase.
I wiped down my walls
once the chalk had set
I then I began doodling...
things I needed to remember
and cute things that made me happy
reminders to stay inspired
and then I obviously had to Instagram about it
when I finished painting the wall.
I can't wait for y'all to see the rest of my new room!
Thank y'all for reading,
Lindsey
Love this what color is your door.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I got the paint swatch from Home Depot 5 years ago, but it's called Freshaire Summer Dragonfly and I got the color matched at our local paint store, which is Porter Paint. It's a great color :)
